Stelex Phased Approach to Decommissioning Solutions

Stelex Approach to Decommissioning:

Project Planning Phase
This is the first phase to occur after the decision to decommission a site has been made. It involves creating set of plans to help guide the project team through all phases of the project.

Our certified Project Management team will work closely with all levels of your organization to best determine specifics for the project charter, identify the project stakeholders and champions, and facilitate all internal decision processes.

The plans created during this phase will help manage time, cost, quality, change, risk and issues. They will also help you manage staff and external suppliers, to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Asset Classification Phase

Every decommissioning project plan must begin with an initial evaluation of company/site physical and logical assets. A full listing and characterization of key inventory components is critical in defining resources and activities that will ultimately be required to complete this phase of the project. Just as regulatory risk drives critical supporting documentation and activities during system use, so regulatory risk ultimately determines documentation and activities associated with retirement and finalization of systems lifecycle.
