Process Control

ComplianceBuilder Process Control is designed to collect data from an OPC server e.g., shop floor or SCADA system. The data is permanently stored to a RDBMS and users are prompted for compliance-mandated acknowledgement/sign-off of events and alarms. CB / Process Control offers a variety of data tracking capabilities: configurable alarm conditioning, process recipes and recipe downloads, set-point change tracking, machine parameters, system events, logon/logoff events, and user events.
CB / Process Control allows great flexibility in how you configure different parts of your system.
ComplianceBuilder Process Control Examples:
ComplianceBuilder System Integration Communication
CB / Control Systems is an add-on solution. No additional investment is required to establish connectivity and communication. As an add-on solution, CB / Process Control offers key technological and economic advantages. CB / Process Control streamlines and supports all your compliance activities. CB / Process Control monitors real-time systems 24/7 and works with any combination of PLC, DCS, EMS, HVAC, MES, Building Automation, Process Control, SCADA, and OPC-based systems.
Because CB / Control Systems sits atop your existing validated systems, the re-validation requirement for these systems is greatly reduced or eliminated entirely. And ComplianceBuilder can bring multiple systems into compliance simultaneously, for significant time and resource savings.
ComplianceBuilder Recipe Management Interface
CB / PC has add-on customizable Recipe Management features that can interface with your existing MES, DCS, BAS, shop floor or SCADA system to control your manufacturing processes. This function is very flexible, and can be your organization’s sole recipe management solution. However you choose to use it, Recipe Management’s process data acquisition and retention vouch for the ongoing integrity of your manufacturing processes.
Event and Alarm Notifications
Upon detecting an event or an alarm condition, CB / PC issues and routes a Notification to a specified user or group of users. You can specify whether notification sign-off is required, and how long CB / PC should wait before it “times-‘out” an un-acknowledged notification.
Tag Monitoring Libraries
These libraries define groups of PLC variables. You tell CB / PC how to process the variables’ tag values.Active Tag Monitoring Libraries contain trigger settings that enable/disable tag value processing.
PLC Variables…Tag Monitoring Items
Each variable can be individually configured for processing based on a Timer, or on the change in a tag value, and on detecting an alarm condition. You also tell CB / PC to issue notifications for these kinds of value changes, and whether the notifications require a user sign-off.
Trend Report
Each variable can be individually configured for processing based on a Timer, or on the change in a tag value, and on detecting an alarm condition. You also tell CB / PC to issue notifications for these kinds of value changes, and whether the notifications require a user sign-off.
Tag Change Report
The Tag Change Report displays tag-based value changes and alarms over a time period you select. Included are the current tag values for the PLC variables you select plus these variables’ previous values
SCADA Alarm History Report
The SCADA Alarm History Report displays FIX alarms that CB / PC reads from the Fix alarm queue. Associated alarm limits are included in the report.
